Threaded Through The Atelier

£10.00

This work explores Mughal heritage through contemporary fashion illustration, presenting two figures in dialogue: one in soft ivory, the other in deep black. Traditional woven motifs are reimagined as structural details — cinched waists, tailored seams, and cuffs — blending ancestral textile language with modern silhouettes. Rendered faceless, the figures become universal rather than individual, allowing the focus to rest on form, craft, and cultural continuity.

Set against a muted, textured ground with annotated details, the composition recalls atelier sketches and design studies, offering a sense of process as well as polish. It is a piece that speaks to confidence, duality, and identity — equally at home in a considered living space, studio, or office that values design with meaning.
